Our Single Vineyard Wines
Rockpile has proven ideal for the development of our 10 distinctly different hillside vineyards. Rockpile Wines are everything you'd expect: intense, powerful and complex. We are extremely proud to be the largest grower and producer of Rockpile wines.
This Cabernet Sauvignon has a rich and full entry with equal parts power and elegance. Ripe and supple tannins carry through to the finish.
Briary blackberry, summer boysenberry, orange peel, and hints of sweet baking spices punctuate the nose of this wine. On the entry there is an explosion of focused blue fruit followed by fresh espresso grounds and leather. Despite that this wine is tightly wound; it shows remarkable balance and freshness. The intensity and focus of the 2015 Cemetery Vineyard Zinfandel will allow it to age beautifully over the next 8-10 years.

The Jack’s Cabin Zinfandel has a reputation of being the most fruit-forward of the Rockpile Zins and the 2015 does not disappoint. Aromas of high-toned black cherry are overlaid with cocoa powder and sweet baking spices.
Our 2015 Pritchett Peaks Zinfandel has an incredibly enticing bouquet of baked blackberry cobbler, dried black cherry and a savory note reminiscent of molasses.

The 2015 Westphall Ridge Zinfandel opens to a beautiful combination of black raspberry, white magnolia blossom, and undertones of roasted coffee and cherry cola. On the palate, the entry is full of ripe strawberry flavors that precludes to crushed pomegranate seed and hints of mineral.

On the entry the wine is round and full, yet it retains its balance, showing a measure of finesse through the finish. Anise, espresso grounds and black cherry coat the palate in glorious fashion. The tannins are velvety but still have enough weight to sustain 8+ years of aging.
The nose is a mixture of sweet baking spices, dried lavender, baked fruit and wet leather. Refined tannins marry well with the complex flavors of fresh black plum, candied blueberry and roasted coffee on the palate.
On the nose, there are sweet aromas of black plum, violet and intriguing earth tones. Though very youthful on the palate, this wine shows incredible promise, and is dense and full-bodied with great freshness.
