Our Single Vineyard Wines
Rockpile has proven ideal for the development of our 10 distinctly different hillside vineyards. Rockpile Wines are everything you'd expect: intense, powerful and complex. We are extremely proud to be the largest grower and producer of Rockpile wines.
Fresh raspberry and baked blackberry cobbler exemplify the dichotomy of this wine: it is both lively and subtle, graceful and yet powerful.
The rich entry explodes with dried red fruit followed by hints of espresso grounds and graham cracker. Firm tannins overlay the incredible ripe and rich fruit that our Jack’s Cabin Zinfandel offers.
Bing cherry, wild flowers, and mineral jump out of the glass. On the palate, flavors of crushed raspberry are complemented by nuances of roasted coffee and earthen spice.
Our most iconic Zinfandel, the nose has dark fruit, minerals, hints of toasted brioche and subtle oak. This wine is lush and powerful, with layers that continue to reveal its complexity.
Bramble-berry and hints of black pepper coalesce into blackberry cobbler in the mid-palate. Balance is the name of the game on the finish: The broad tannins and bright acid mesh perfectly, showing the wine’s aging potential.
A rare blend of power and finesse, this vintage features a small amount of co-fermented Viognier, enhancing the aromatics, texture and rustic Syrah flavors.
Aromas of herbal tea, pencil lead and mulberry blend seamlessly with sweet oak.
Without a doubt, the 2013 Malbec is the best we have ever made! The nose is near perfection: a seamless blend of dark fruit, mineral and herb.
This is one of the best Cabs we've ever made from Rockpile! Intense flavors of cherry cola and cassis lead, followed by nuances of chocolate, espresso and ripe olive.
Dried berry fruit, crushed rock, and sweet oak are first aromas to greet the senses. The fruit is dense on the palate, giving way to notes of tobacco and loamy earth.
The nose has a dusty/earthen quality accented by peppercorn and dark fruit. The palate is focused and linear, showcasing black currant with hints of licorice and spice.
Mulled berry greets the palate, complemented by intricate flavors of dried flowers and holiday spice. The mouthfeel is smooth, enveloping every nook and cranny of your palate.
