Our Single Vineyard Wines
Rockpile has proven ideal for the development of our 10 distinctly different hillside vineyards. Rockpile Wines are everything you'd expect: intense, powerful and complex. We are extremely proud to be the largest grower and producer of Rockpile wines.
The nose on this vintage is explosive and complex, with aromas of fresh-baked blackberry pie, toasted almond grounds dusted with dark cocoa and the classic touches of savory roasted herbs and sweet earth – signatures of our Rockpile Ridge Zinfandel.
The 2017 Jacks Cabin Zinfandel is beautifully detailed in its aromatic profile: candied red fruit, milk chocolate shavings, sweet baking spices, and nuances of vanilla bean pod and cola.

Wonderfully fragrant fresh crushed briary black raspberry and blackberry explode from the glass, along with touches of Indian spices and dusty soil.
The darkest of our 2016 Rockpile Zinfandels, our Cemetery Zinfandel has a complex, slightly briary, sweet earthy nose that opens to warm summer blackberry freshly picked and crushed in your hand.
Our 2016 Pritchett Peaks Zinfandel is at first shy on the nose but then slowly unveils a beautiful bouquet of fresh crushed black raspberry, violet blossom and flaking brioche.
Fragrant, delicate red Bing cherry, dustings of sweet baking spices, dried wild rose and dried fig compote intermingle in the aromatics. Flavors include perfumed red raspberry, rose hips and hints of dried cranberry. Elegant and driven by a purity of fruit, the silky textured mid-palate and refined tannins give way to a fresh and lengthy finish.
69% Cabernet Sauvignon, 23% Cabernet Franc, 8% Malbec
Our 2016 Buck Pasture has delicate notes of crushed graphite, spicy cigar box, sweet dried sage and baker’s chocolate.
58% Zinfandel, 23% Petite Sirah and 19% Syrah
The first vintage of our Madrone Spring Red Wine truly captures the essence of each individual component: restrained and elegant, black fruit driven with a pulse of spice, muscular with incredible depth yet approachable for such a young wine.
25% Tinto Cao, 25% Tinta Madeira, 25% Touriga Nacional, 25% Sousão
On the entry, dried apricot, shaved nutmeg seed and coffee grounds are in the forefront and complement the viscous mid-palate. The finish shows restraint: fine-grained tannins lie just beneath the surface, accented beautifully with balanced acidity.
