2019 Grower's Reserve Zinfandel

Our Grower’s Reserve Zinfandel celebrates the exceptional fruit from the most distinctive vineyards in the Dry Creek Valley appellation. This 2019 release captures the essence of a special growing season that started with an abundance of rain and cooler temperatures after budbreak in early April. With the arrival of warmer temperatures later in the month, and more rain in May, we feared that blossom development into fruit would be undermined. Fortunately, it was not, and what ultimately resulted from this near-perfection maturation season were wines outlined by perfectly ripe fruit, generous levels of nuance and velvety texture. The 2019 Grower’s Reserve Zinfandel has an enticing aroma profile of black cherry flesh dusted with sweet baking spices, shavings of vanilla pod and a hint of orange zest. Wonderful and lifted flavors of blackberry pie, milk chocolate and savory notes frame the finely grained tannins and the finish is long and spicy. Enjoy for the next 7-10 years.
