Our inaugural vintage of our Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir is uncluttered by manipulative techniques. Its pure expression of high-toned red fruit, Asian spice, and violet petal dance beautifully from the glass. Sweet red cherry and earth tones marry seamlessly with perfectly positioned tannins and nuances of toasted oak.
For our 2016 Rockpile Cabernet Sauvignon, we blended in nearly 10% of our Rockpile Malbec to lock in the beautiful color and add subtle floral notes. The small percentages of Cabernet Franc (4%) and Merlot (3%) added more red fruit and a hint of fresh forest floor, while the 1% of Petit Verdot brought a level of seriousness to the wine that we loved. Aromas are rich in ripe black fruit, roasted coffee, anise and sweet loam, with a beautiful pulse of shaved nutmeg.
46% Merlot, 41% Cabernet Sauvignon, 10% Malbec, 3% Cabernet Franc
Our 2017 Buck Pasture is beautifully layered with lush flavors of warm blackberry, dark chocolate dust, crushed black walnut, violet petal, hints of cedar and toasted vanilla pod.
25% Tinto Cao, 25% Tinta Madeira, 25% Touriga Nacional, 25% Sousão
The single-acre block where these varieties are planted is called Independence, and our 2017 “Independence” Red Wine has an incredibly seductive nose of vanilla bean pod and sweet balsamic-glazed black figs intermingled with pound cake crumbs.
The 2016 Loam Cabernet Sauvignon is the proprietary blend of grapes sourced from vineyards planted in Positas, Suther, and Clough soils. It is comprised of the best vineyards, grown in the best soil, from the best appellations. Perfectly structured, Loam balances the brightness and focused tannins of hillside fruit with the dense, rich characteristics of fruit grown in the ancient riverbed and valley floor soils.
Weathered from metamorphic rock, Suther is a gravelly Loam found on the side slopes of mountains underlain by sandstone and shale. Primarily located between 500-3,000 feet in elevation, Suther soils are only found in the geographic locations associated with great Cabernet Sauvignon.

Tumbled through the ages by creeks and rivers, Positas is a gravelly Loam soil formed in alluvial material. Primarily located between 200-1,000 feet in elevation, Positas soils are found on stream terraces and side slopes, commonly referred to as benchland, home to some of the greatest Cabernet Sauvignon.

Formed through sedimentary flow, Clough soil is a gravely loam, layered in quartz and chert. This soil is found on gently undulating old terraces at elevations of 200 to 1,000 feet. Moderately well drained, Clough is derived from conglomerates and other sedimentary rocks and is considered to be a moderately acidic soil with a normal pH of 5.8.
